Doug Godley | |
Doug Godley grew up in Charlotte, NC and graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in Chemistry. He considered Med School but ultimately chose to get his Real Estate license and partner with his brother Ken in launching D & K Realty. Doug and Ken Godley dove into their first major development project by opening Frankie’s Fun Park in North Charleston, SC in July 1990. Four years later in 1994, they cut the ribbon on Frankie’s of Columbia. Since then, they’ve introduced Three more Frankie’s in Greenville, Raleigh, and Charlotte. In February 2009, Doug opened Wild Olive, an Italian restaurant on Johns Island, SC that has a true focus on simple, seasonal cuisine, paired with food friendly wines. In March of 2014, he opened The Obstinate Daughter on Sullivan’s Island to great fanfare. The Obstinate Daughter is a Southern restaurant that is influenced by French, Italian and Spanish cuisine with a wood fired oven, plancha and island kitchen range. Pizza, pasta, small plates, and a raw bar are the focus of the menu. 2024 - Opening The Douglas House Hotel this summer in Savannah, GA and with a unique restaurant concept that will shortly follow on the property. Currently Doug and the team are busy working on their first all indoor concept of Frankie’s for Atlanta, GA. | |
