Paspalum dilatatum is a species of grass known by the common name dallis grass Dallas grass, or sticky heads. It is native to Brazil and Argentina, but it is known throughout the world as an introduced species and at times a common weed. It is present in the southern half of North America, southern Europe, much of Africa, Australia, New Zealand, many tropical and subtropical areas. Dallisgrass is a fast-growing, tufted perennial grass, native to South America, that is used for pastures hay. Dallisgrass grows best in fertile, moist soil, can be planted in spring or fall.
