Regencia, together with Vice Mayor Jemar Vera Cruz, City Councilors Macky Macapagal, Ian Uy, and Jake Balanay, along with LGU-Iligan Department Heads, the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Philippine Army (PA), and various other sectors, launched another successful People’s Day program in Barangay Kalilangan and Barangay Panoroganan last Friday, March 7, 2020. The initiative aimed to bring essential government services closer to the people, addressing their immediate needs and concerns through a day of community service and engagement. The People’s Day program was initiated by Mayor Regencia in 2014 with the vision of ensuring that government services are accessible to the residents of all barangays, regardless of their distance from the city center. The program is scheduled every Friday, once a year for each barangay, to ensure that all communities within Iligan City benefit from various government-led initiatives.
