Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Mauritius. Where he was welcomed with the Bihari tradition Geet Gawai. PM Modi also encouraged the villagers by clapping and was seen enjoying this cultural program. Geet Gawai is a traditional Bhojpuri music group.Which is seen as a symbol of the cultural heritage brought to Mauritius by women of the Bhojpuri region of India. Geet Gawai has also been given a place in UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in December 2016.As soon as PM Modi reached the hotel, the NRIs welcomed him by chanting Bharat Mata Ki Jai and hoisting the tricolour.
